Dzsenifer Marozsan (Germany)

The Hungarian-born Lyon midfielder and naturalized German is one of the world’s best playmakers. The 27-year-old team captain has great vision and pace. Marozsan is the lynchpin of this German team who instills fear into the minds of opposing defenders.

Germany likes to exploit transitions from defense to attack in an efficient manner. Marozsan’s speed and skill, essential to the team’s style of play, have been vital in making the Germans one of the pre-tournament favorites.

Marozsan plays deeper than most No. 10s, but her one-touch passing allows her to feed her fellow strikers with lethal balls that can often result in goals. It was that skill that helped Marozsan lead Germany to the 2016 Olympics gold medal in Rio. This will be her second World Cup. Marozsan scored a goal for Lyon in the French club’s recent 4-1 win against Barcelona to win the Champions League last month.
