Lucy Bronze (England)

The England star is one of the world’s best defenders. She has helped the Three Lionesses at all age levels and was a member of the team that finished third at the last World Cup. It is players of Bronze’s caliber that have catapulted England into contender status at the last few international women’s tournaments.

Bronze started her career with Sunderland in 2007 and made her England Under-17 debut a year later. She has played with Everton, Liverpool (where she won two league titles) and Manchester City before joining Lyon’s star-studded roster in 2017.

The 27-year-old has played for the senior team since 2013. Unlike her last name, third place won’t cut it for Bronze. She’s looking to lead England to their very first Women’s World Cup title.
