Both Chelsea and Tottenham qualified for the Champions League next season, as The Blues finished in third place – one point ahead of their London rivals. Chelsea haven’t been linked to Eriksen as frequently this summer as, say, Real or PSG, but they have long been mentioned as potential suitors for the Danish international.

In January, AS reported that Chelsea have been monitoring Eriksen’s situation, and it would be quite the move for The Blues to snatch Eriksen from their rivals. They are the least likely landing spot of the teams linked to Eriksen, but they may be the most interesting.

Chelsea will most likely lose Eden Hazard this summer, as they’ll be forced to cash-in on their best player. Like Eriksen, Hazard has one year left on his deal and seems ready for the next chapter in his career. Arguably the world’s best player at creating opportunities for teammates, Hazard would be a perfect fit for Real Madrid, who seem to be the only team in serious contention to sign the Belgian winger.

Christian Pulisic was seemingly purchased as Hazard’s replacement during the winter transfer window, but The Blues could still use a center midfielder who can provide teasing balls into the box and piercing crosses. Stylistically, Eriksen would be a perfect fit for Chelsea as a player capable of notching 20 combined goals and assists in a season.
