Daily Fantasy Baseball is in full swing, and whether you play on DraftKings, FanDuel, Yahoo, or Fantasy Draft, this article is designed to help you find the best value plays across the board for today’s slate. These low salary targets are my top players to help you roster your stud bats and pitchers.

Welcome to FantasyCPR! If you are a regular reader, welcome back! If you are new we are glad to have you, and we certainly hope you make us your first source of your Daily Fantasy Baseball research everyday. We will have plenty of articles every day here, and no matter where you play, we are likely to have you covered.

What separates us from others, is that we have a solid team of writers all tackling different areas to write about. This allows us to hone in our content, and you give our best plays possible, as early as possible. We are without a doubt the leader in first-look articles for DFS, so if you just found us, welcome, and I hope you come back for more.

While most of our content is site specific, whether it be for hitting or pitching, this article is going to be different. What I will do here, is evaluate potential value plays for that particular day, across the four major DFS sites.

So the plan of attack here is, first I will highlight my top value plays for Yahoo and Fantasy Draft. I will dig up certain plays that I think fit their scoring systems, and possible flaws in pricing. I will then do the same for FanDuel, and then for DraftKings.

Finally after I break down my favorites from each site specifically, I will then finish up with top overall multi-site value plays. These are the top players viable across the industry, who are in line to out produce their respective salary, no matter what the site. All of these plays are just simply the best value plays that stand out across the industry, regardless of site.

FanDuel MLB

Daily Fantasy Baseball: Top Value Plays – Yahoo!

SS – Elvis Andrus – Texas Rangers – $12

Yahoo seems to factor in recent performance to their pricing more than the other sites, and in that sense, it almost seems more often than not that we are looking at guys who started out hot and were way too expensive, and are starting to regress to the norm a little bit and their prices are reflecting the current play. Andrus seems to be a victim of this, as he is still priced up everywhere else for the most part.

Andrus has the batting average sitting right at .300 now, and he has hit safely in seven of his last eight games now, and we get the great Texas home park factor against a gas can in lefty Brett Anderson. For the BvP truthers, we have a pretty good sample size here. In 31 plate appearances against Anderson, Andrus is 8-for-21 with a homer and a pair of stolen bases. I love this price on this site, and this looks like a lock one-off in my cash lineup.

3B – Travis Shaw – Milwaukee Brewers – $9

Shaw is cheap everywhere, but not really necessary as I do see some better spots. Not even here on Yahoo really, but in an effort to spread some possible chalk on every site, I will shamefully recommend Shaw tonight against Pirates righty Rookie Davis. I think there is better value on the FanDuels and DraftKings of the world at this position, but under $10 here at a position I will likely spend down at, Shaw has my attention.

Since his return from injury, Shaw has now played two games after resting yesterday in the series finale against the Marlins and lefty Caleb Smith. He should return tonight against Davis, and could actually benefit from his lower spot in this batting lineup. Moose and Yelich are heating up, and Shaw needs to find his power stroke and contribute if he wants to keep in this lineup against right-handed pitching. He had two hits with a double in his return, followed by an 0-for-4.

CHICAGO, IL – JUNE 23: Matt Olson #28 of the Oakland Athletics runs the bases after hiting a solo home run in the 6th inning against the Chicago White Sox at Guaranteed Rate Field on June 23, 2018 in Chicago, Illinois. (Photo by Jonathan Daniel/Getty Images) /

IF/OF – Matt Olson – Oakland Athletics – $7,300

This is an interesting situation tonight in Arlington. Lance Lynn will be on the hill for the Rangers, and the 32-year-old is having one of his best seasons of his career. The scary part is, the xFIP suggest this could be sustainable, as Lynn is limiting hard contact, and allowing less than one homer per nine innings. In total, Lynn has somehow allowed just six home runs in 74 innings of work, and for what it’s worth, he has only allowed one of those homers at home. On the flip side, he has pitched less innings at home, and carries a 5.28 ERA there as well.

Now about Olson. All the A’s are dirt cheap as they continue to struggle for the most part, and although Lynn is worse against righties I like Olson off of a day off here if I decide to attack this spot. Relatively speaking, Olson is $3K on FanDuel, and still more than Khris Davis on DK. He is literally priced all over the place, and he holds by far the most value here on Fantasy Draft. This stack might allow me to pay up for pitching tonight, and that looks like the right course of action at this point.

OF – Josh Reddick – Houston Astros – $7,300

Same story with Reddick here. Except this guy continues to hit. His price has also come up to respectable levels on other sites, but as opposed to Olson, Reddick is not really struggling. Even with injuries to George Springer, Carlos Correa, and Jose Altuve, the Astros are still scoring runs, and Reddick should continue to hit in an RBI spot in the lineup following Alex Bregman and Micheal Brantley.

On the season, Reddick is now hitting .309 with six homers, and is on a decent streak in his last three starts. In that span all against the Mariners, Reddick was 5-for-13, with a double and a triple. This could be a nice three-man stack here with the aforementioned Bregman and Brantley, as the Astros will face Gabriel Ynoa and the Orioles at home as huge favorites.

NEW YORK, NEW YORK – APRIL 09: Mitch Garver #18 of the Minnesota Twins runs the bases past Jacob deGrom #48 of the New York Mets afterhis third inning home run at Citi Field on April 09, 2019 in the Flushing neighborhood of the Queens borough of New York City. (Photo by Jim McIsaac/Getty Images) /

Daily Fantasy Baseball: Top Value Plays – FanDuel

C/1B – Mitch Garver – Minnesota Twins – $2,900

Normally I am a never play a catcher guy on FanDuel, but there are always a couple of exceptions. For example, Gary Sanchez was worth paying up for yesterday, although it didn’t work out. I know that sounds odd, but Sanchez missed a home run to dead center by about three feet, and that is just the variance of this MLB DFS we play day in and day out.

The Twins will face Matthew Boyd tonight in Detroit, and while he has been solid all season, he has not faced this Twins lineup as of yet. Garver missed some time with an injury, but he is healthy again, and absolutely mashing lefties this season. In total, he carries a monster .370 ISO, a .674 SLG, and a .438 wOBA. Garver is hitting .400 against lefties this season, with a double, a triple and a homer in 31 at-bats.  This is the only site where Garver is cheap, and I plan to lock him in here.

SP – Erick Fedde – Washington Nationals – $5,800

Ah yes. FanDuel the lone one pitcher DFS site. If one thing is for sure about this massive slate, pricing from site-to-site is all over the place. I love some of these aces we have at the top tonight, but if you are one of those riding the trend of paying down at starting pitcher on FanDuel, Fedde is as cheap as it gets, and he has plenty of things in his favor.

Fedde will face the Padres on the road at Petco, so it starts with the park factor. Despite not being as bad is maybe was, maybe because of juiced baseballs who knows, Petco is still a pitcher’s park. Fedde will make his fourth start since transitioning from the bullpen, and my main concern here is that he won’t go deep enough in the game to pick up the much-needed win.

I think the quality start is out of the question as he has not pitched more than five innings in a start, and although he isn’t exactly showing great strikeout stuff, he could pick up a few extra against the strikeout prone Padres. For $5,800 he only needs about 25 FDP, and it will allow you to load up on bats. It’s worth a shot in a large field GPP tonight.

FanDuel MLB
FanDuel MLB: OAKLAND, CALIFORNIA – APRIL 04: Khris Davis #2 of the Oakland Athletics bats against the Boston Red Sox at Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum on April 04, 2019 in Oakland, California. (Photo by Ezra Shaw/Getty Images) /

Daily Fantasy Baseball: Top Value Plays – DraftKings

OF – Khris Davis – Oakland Athletics – $3,900

Khrush Davis is mired in a slump, and his price has dropped pretty consistently over the last couple of weeks because of it. In fact, I classify him as a solid value play tonight, everywhere except FanDuel where he is still priced up. Although his HR numbers are down, he has hit safely in four straight games now, and he posted his first multi-hit game since May 17th last night against the Angels.

Despite the success of Lance Lynn this season, the A’s are actually favored in this game, and it has the highest run total on the slate at the moment 11 runs. Lynn is due for regression, and this game played in the Texas heat has the recipe for runs. Oakland could end up pretty chalky everywhere. They are cheap for the most part, and currently have the second highest implied run total on the slate behind the Brewers.

OF – Eloy Jimenez – Chicago White Sox – $3,300

It has been a slow start to this youngsters career, but the highly touted prospect finds himself in a great spot in Kansas City against Homer Bailey. I almost waited too long in this article to find a player in this game, as this could be one of the worst pitching match-up’s I have seen in a bit. Bailey will face Ivan Nova, and this is another game with a huge implied run total, that currently sits at 10.

Jimenez is hitting just .226 with six homers, but this price has dropped just low enough here on DraftKings to give him a look in this match-up. Bailey is allowing a .318 batting average with a .356 wOBA against righties this season, and against righties at home, those numbers go up to .333/.386.

Bailey has gotten lit up for the most part in three of his last four starts, and has not made it out of the fourth inning in almost a month. Chicago could be a semi-sneaky stack option here with all of these options on this monster slate, but at the very least I like Jimenez here as a value one-off on DraftKings.

Daily Fantasy Baseball: Top Value Plays – Across the Industry!

Welcome to the most important, and final page of the article. On most days, certain value plays will line up well on 2 or three, or even all of the sites covered in this article.

From the looks of it, I have a piece of every player coming up here on at least two sites in my early lineups, so just because you did not see somebody yet on another site specific slide from earlier, he could be coming up right now.

More from FanSided

2B – Cesar Hernandez – Philadelphia Phillies – ($3,700 DK, $2,800 FD, $7,700 FD2, $15 Y!)

I spent a fair amount of time trying to figure out how I want to attack Reds starting pitcher Tyler Mahle. Looking at Mahle’s 3.48 xFIP opposed to his ERA, you can see that he might be pitching a little better than the basic numbers would suggest. However, he has been really bad on the road, and even worse against left-handed bats.

Hernandez is probably a hair too expensive on Yahoo, but he looks viable everywhere else. I won’t necessarily stack the Phillies tonight against Mahle, but I can see myself using Hernandez and Bryce Harper here in this match-up. The Phillies offense as a whole is struggling the past week or so though, and that would be my only worry.

OF – Nelson Cruz – Minnesota Twins – ($3,700 DK, $3,000 FD, $7,500 FD2, $9 Y!)

Cruz recently missed some time with a wrist injury, and after returning to the lineup Tuesday in the start of the three game series with Indians and going 0-for-4 with three K’s, his price quickly dropped into serious value range. On Wednesday, Cruz connected off of lefty reliever Tyler Olson in the third inning for his eighth home run of the year.

Despite the homer, he still did not get a price bump anywhere, and he finds himself in another good spot against lefty Matt Boyd and the Tigers. Boyd has been above average this season without a doubt, but at a quick glance he does struggle a bit with the better teams, and he is yet to face Minnesota this season. Cruz rested last night in the series finale with the Indians.
