4. Beyond Good and Evil 2

Out of all the games Ubisoft has developed throughout the years, Beyond Good and Evil is probably the most underrated. Releasing back in 2003, the game was critically very well-received, but wasn’t a commercial success. The poor sales eventually put planned sequels on hold, which was an unfortunate situation for so many years.

With the re-release on the Xbox 360 in 2011, players were able to experience this game in a new light. Thankfully, it opened a lot of people’s eyes to what a great game it truly is. But, even then, it took another six years for Ubisoft to finally surprise everyone.

So far, everything we’ve seen on Beyond Good and Evil 2 is fantastic. Being a prequel, we’ll get to see how the events of the first game came to be. Plus, this is supposed to be the game director Michel Ancel wanted to create along. However, due to the technological limitations, he wasn’t able to do so. That isn’t the case anymore.

Every few months, Ubisoft hosts a live stream dedicated to the game known as Space Monkey Report. It gives fans an update on the development of the game, showing off in-game footage, concept art, revealing characters and the world we’ll be playing in.

The wait has been long and it seems it’ll take a bit longer until it’s finally ready to release. Sadly, the game won’t be at this year’s E3 either, but a game like this needs to take its time in order for it to be successful.
