The USWNT didn’t just rout Thailand at the Women’s World Cup, they scored enough goals to break the tournament’s all-time goals record in a single game.
When it comes to wins, the United States couldn’t have dreamed of a better start.
In their 13-0 victory against Thailand on Tuesday, the Americans set a tournament record for most goals in a single match. The previous record was a 11-0 win by Germany against Argentina at the 2007 World Cup.
Alex Morgan had five goals on the night, tying Michelle Akers for goals in a single match, which dates back to the 1991 World Cup.

A third record was also broken against Thailand. Second-half sub Carli Lloyd became the oldest player in tournament history (at age 36 and 330 days) to score at a World Cup.
Not even sure what minute tbh, but @CarliLloyd scored and it’s 13-0.
