2019 College World Series bracket, schedule
By Ethan Lee
It’s almost time for the College World Series to begin. Here are the teams that remain and will compete in Omaha for a chance at the national title over the next couple of weeks.
Just a few weeks ago, 64 NCAA baseball teams were competing for a chance to come to Omaha for the College World Series. Now, after the regionals and the super regionals, there’s a total of eight teams left standing.
I was hoping for some chaos, at the start of the tournament and the super regionals provided some good examples of that.
First, the team that was supposed to be the best, UCLA appeared to be a juggernaut after not losing a single series all season, but Michigan knocked them out.
In Fayetteville, things got weird as Ole Miss and Arkansas traded ridiculous blowouts en route to the Hogs making it to the College World Series. Meanwhile, in Baton Rouge, Florida State took down LSU, giving Mike Martin another chance to compete in Omaha.
And so, while some teams breezed through this point (Mississippi State, Louisville, Vanderbilt), others had to prove they truly belonged (Michigan, Auburn, Florida State).
Here’s who survived the super regionals:
- Michigan
- Texas Tech
- Arkansas
- Florida State
- Vanderbilt
- Louisville
- Mississippi State
- Auburn
Bracket 1
In bracket one of the College World Series sits the Michigan Wolverines, Texas Tech Red Raiders, Arkansas Razorbacks, and Florida State Seminoles. Michigan and Texas Tech will face each other in the first game at 1 p.m. Saturday while Arkansas and Florida State play at 6 p.m. Saturday.
The four teams will compete in a double elimination tournament with the winner of this bracket meeting the winner of bracket two in a best-of-three game series.

Bracket 2
Bracket two of the College World Series features the Vanderbilt Commodores, the Louisville Cardinals, the Mississippi State Bulldogs, and the Auburn Tigers. Vanderbilt and Louisville will get underway at 1 p.m. on Sunday and then will be followed up by the Bulldogs and Tigers at 6:30 p.m.
And just as with the other bracket in the College World Series, these four teams will compete in a double elimination tournament. The Winner of the double-elimination round of the College World Series then gets to compete for the national championship.
