June 12th: NHL DFS DraftKings Game 7 Showdown Picks – Bruins v. Blues

Welcome back NHL DFS readers of FantasyCPR, looks like the Blues blew their opportunity to close out the series at home and now are underdogs in a pivotal Game 7. Boston is -175 favorites with the over/under sitting at 5.5. I do expect Boston to win and I do expect the game to score more than the 5.5 goals.

Let’s dive into the NHL DFS plays:

Boston 1: (Patrick Bergeron/ David Pastrnak/ Brad Marchand) 

If I am spending up, I am playing Boston’s first line. Bergeron ($11,800) has been over double digit fantasy points in 4 of the last 5 games and we’re waiting for the monster game. If Bergeron gets going, more than likely, we are going to have either Pastrnak ($11,000) or Marchand ($10,100). If you’re constructing multiple lineups I will definitely have some NHL DFS shares of the entire line stack.

However, if you are just making one lineup, then Marchand is going to miss the cut in that lineup for me. Marchand has taken 12 shots in the entire series and has posted three games with one or fewer shots on goal. I prefer Bergeron and Pastrnak.

STL 2: (Ryan O’Reilly/ Zach Sanford / David Perron) 

If I am not using Boston one, I will be pounding the second line for St. Louis. Ryan O’Reilly ($10.600) is the MVP if the Blues win the series, as he has posted over 20-plus fantasy points in two of his last three and he has more than 15 DraftKings points in the one game that he did not post 20-plus DraftKings points.

Sanford (4,200) had a rough game posting zero fantasy points, and I had a bunch of him in the last matchup. However, the price is cheap enough that he helps get in other stud players and even for this price I am willing to play him at this price tag. Sanford has posted over 5 DraftKings points in 3 of the last 4 games.

David Perron ($6,700) is going to be tough to not make a lineup with tonight. Perron has taken multiple shots in every game this series besides Game 1. Perron has double digit fantasy points in back-to-back games, if O’Reilly is going to score, then it is likely that Perron will be involved in facilitating that goal.

One- Offs:

Brayden Schenn ($8,900) 

Schenn has been awful this series, outside of two games and in Game 4 he wasn’t necessarily great he got lucky with an open net goal. We have seen the price drop, assume we will see the ownership drop as well. If St. Louis’s first line gets loose, Schenn does all the facilitating for that line, making Schenn an interesting tournament play.

Sean Kuraly ($5,500) 

Kuraly doesn’t get the respect he deserves, he has posted double digit fantasy points in three of the six games so far this series and I think he is capable of doing so again in a close out Game 7. Kuraly has posted 5 points in 6 games. Look for him to continue to build on that momentum.

Zdeno Chara ($4,400) 

Chara is tough as nails, is a veteran, in what might be his last chance to hold the cup. Chara has posted only two points in the six games however, he has double digit upside and he is cheap enough that he will be in my player pool so I can get more exposure to the top tier.
