Real Madrid fans go crazy for Eden Hazard in his new uni

Eden Hazard has officially signed with Real Madrid, and the fans of the world’s most valuable club couldn’t be more ecstatic.

After floundering in the Champions League and finishing third in La Liga, Real Madrid needed to sign multiple game-changing talents to a squad sorely lacking in star power. Coming into the summer transfer window, Eden Hazard looked like the best possible signing for Real, and Florentino Perez got his man, signing Hazard for 100 million euros. Add-ons could push the deal to nearly 150 million euros.

It’s an expensive transfer for Real, but it’s money well-spent. Madrid clearly have the funds to sign Hazard at that fee, and they also quite obviously needed to nab the top assist-provider in Europe in 2018-2019.

On Thursday at the Santiago Bernabeu, Real unveiled Hazard to a fired-up crowd and shared the video of the Belgian forward being presented in his new, white uniform.

It was truly a sight to behold, as thousands upon thousands of fans packed the legendary stadium to cheer for their new top star. Hazard will be counted on to create chances, work tirelessly on the flanks and grab double-digit goals for a squad that had just one player with double-digit goals in La Liga last season, Karim Benzema.

Hazard joins Eder Militao, Ferland Mendy and star striker Luka Jovic as Madrid’s transfer acquisitions this summer. While Mendy and Jovic are rising stars who should become world-class players for Los Blancos, Hazard is, for now, the crown jewel of Real’s incoming class.

Of course, Perez is far from done signing top talent to Real as they look to rebound from a disastrous 2018-2019, and the likes of Paul Pogba seem to be on his radar. For now, though, Hazard is a massive signing for Real after years of consistent greatness for Chelsea in the Premier League, and the reactions of the Madristas back up just how important of a signing Hazard is.
