Attractions to check out around Omaha
Look, I’m sure most people checking this list expected to see Omaha’s Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium on this list, and here it is. It’s regularly listed as one of the best zoos in the world, so it’s hard to go wrong taking a day (or two or three) and stopping by.
As was previously mentioned, the Old Market has a ton of restaurants and bars, but it’s also got some intriguing stores and art galleries mixed in as well. Musicians can be found playing in the area and the atmosphere is inviting for folks to explore all that it has to offer.
Interested in museums?
Families with children might want to check out the Omaha Children’s Museum and art fans should take a tour of the Joslyn Art Museum. And of course, to learn more about history, visit The Durham Museum housed in the historic Union Station.
If museums aren’t quite your speed, you’re not interested in shopping, and you want to check out some living and breathing nature, Fontenelle Forest might be just the place for you. Get outdoors, breathe some fresh air, and visit the Raptor Woodland Refuge.
Again, welcome to Omaha, College World Series fans. From someone who is new to the area and still learning his way around town, I hope that you truly enjoy and fall in love with this city while you’re here.
Oh, and make sure you enjoy some baseball games too.
