4. A Twilight Princess connection

As unlikely as this may be, at the same time, it’s still a possibility. After seeing the new teaser trailer for the upcoming sequel, there were plenty of Twilight Princess vibes for a variety of reasons. We also feel the game is a bit under-appreciated for what it is and definitely deserves more love. The world established in that game, the Twilight Realm, was very unique and it would be a shame if we never got to visit again.

As mentioned, the chances are slim, but there’s still a chance. In the trailer, the music is definitely reminiscent of the music from Twilight Princess. It has a very creepy sound, similar to the one heard in that game. It also has an extremely dark tone. Many fans compared it to Majora’s Mask, which makes sense since that game used the same game engine as Ocarina of Time. But, it was a different setting with an entirely new set of characters, other than Link.

Seeing the Twili and the Twilight Realm would be fantastic. It’s a world we barely got to see, but it was one of the most memorable parts of Twilight Princess. Plus, Midna is the best companion in the entire Zelda series and it’s not even close. She actually felt very useful in the game and it’s one of the few companions you can actually form an emotional connection with.

How they would tie it in is unknown, of course. However, if you pay close attention in the trailer, the corpse that seems to be coming back to life has a bracelet or some sort of jewelry that resembles some of the symbols seen in the game.
