USWNT vs. Spain live stream: Watch World Cup live
The USWNT takes on Spain on Monday, June 24 at Stade Auguste-Delaune in Reims, France. Here’s what to know before tuning in.
The United States will play Spain in the round of 16 at the Women’s World Cup on Monday at Stade Auguste-Delaune in Reims, the same place where they defeated Thailand 13-0 in their group-stage opener.
The Americans finished the opening round 3-0 having scored 18 goals and conceded none. Given their talent, depth, and strong start, the Americans are heavily favored against Spain and to repeat as champions.
The U.S. has been fueled by several standout performances, including midfielder Lindsey Horan (two goals so far at her first World Cup) and Carli Lloyd (who has been a super-sub). Injuries to Alex Morgan and Julie Ertz have not dealt coach Jill Ellis’ squad the blow one would expect given their roster depth.
“This team is firmly rooted on the ground. There’s a humility, the players have played the game for long enough to know you have to earn every result,” Ellis told reporters. “When you have a group of players with self-belief… nine times out of 10 players can be very talented to make the roster but they need that quality and it is pivotal at a World Cup.”
The Women’s World Cup game between the United States and Spain will be broadcast live on Fox Sports 1. Live streaming is available on Fox Sports Go, which you can access with your cable or satellite subscriptions, either online or through the app.

The No. 1-ranked Americans are coming off a 2-0 win against Sweden, which allowed them to win Group F. Spain, on the other hand, finished second (beating out China on goal differential) to Germany in Group B. Ranked No. 13 in the world, Spain is 1-1-1 at this World Cup and have shown plenty of progress as a team the past few years.
