The LSU Tigers have been a pipeline for great running backs. Leonard Fournette and Derrius Guice have been the most recent two that the Tigers have elevated into stardom and their NFL Draft status has reflected that.

Therefore, they might just be the perfect fit for the most flashy and the best running back recruit available in 2020. Zachary Evans has an offer from the Tigers and LSU does not yet have a running back commit for next year’s class.

Evans is fast and loves to bounce around when he touches the football. His ability to move in each direction will make him a difficult running back to bring down.

He’s also definitely going to be a home run hitter once he decides on which direction he’s going to go. At 5’11 and 200 pounds, Evans has good size and the frame of a prototypical running back.

There doesn’t seem to be a consensus really on where he could end up and that bodes well for LSU as he hasn’t committed to anyone else, let alone a rival yet. Getting one of the most athletically gifted running backs would give the Tigers a big boost in the always difficult SEC West.
