Women’s World Cup live stream: How to watch Netherlands vs. Japan
By Adam Stocker
The Netherlands face Japan at Roazhon Park on Tuesday, June 25. Here’s all the info you need to watch.
The Women’s World Cup Round of 16 wraps up on Tuesday with the Netherlands playing Japan. The Netherlands won their group, winning all three of their games. Japan finished second in their group. However, Japan’s group was one of the weakest in the competition and they struggled to get through.
The Netherlands might not be getting enough respect and be given enough of a chance to win the Women’s World Cup. The Dutch are often overlooked by France, Germany, England and the United States as the favorites to win the tournament.
However, the Netherlands are the reigning European champions and made easy work of their group. Vivianne Miedema will lead a strong Dutch attack that has had five players score goals in the tournament. Miedema leads her nation with two goals. After an incredible season with Arsenal, Miedema will look to lead her team to a World Cup victory.
Japan won the Women’s World Cup in 2011 and reached the final again in 2015 but many of the stars from those teams retired following the 2015 Women’s World Cup. The 2019 Japanese team is a team in transition.
While Japan lost many of their best-attacking players following the 2015 World Cup, they still have three defenders with over 100 caps. If Japan can keep the game close, they might be able to use their skills as set-piece experts to steal a goal and advance to the quarterfinal.
The Women’s World Cup match between the Netherlands and Japan will be broadcast on FS1. Live streaming is available on Fox Sports Go, which you can access with your cable or satellite subscription, either online or through their app.
