Daily Fantasy Baseball is in full swing, and whether you play on DraftKings, FanDuel, Yahoo, or Fantasy Draft, this article is designed to help you find the best value plays across the board for today’s slate. These low salary targets are my top players to help you roster your stud bats and pitchers.

Welcome to FantasyCPR! If you are a regular reader, welcome back for baseball! If you are new we are glad to have you, and we certainly hope you make us your first source of your Daily Fantasy Baseball research everyday. We will have plenty of articles every day here, and no matter where you play, we are likely to have you covered.

What separates us from others, is that we have a solid team of writers all tackling different areas to write about. This allows us to hone in our content, and you give our best plays possible, as early as possible. We are without a doubt the leader in first-look articles for DFS, so if you just found us, welcome, and I hope you come back for more.

While most of our content is site specific, whether it be for hitting or pitching, this article is going to be different. What I will do here, is evaluate potential value plays for that particular day, across the four major DFS sites.

So the plan of attack here is, first I will highlight my top value plays for Yahoo and Fantasy Draft. I will dig up certain plays that I think fit their scoring systems, and possible flaws in pricing. I will then do the same for FanDuel, and then for DraftKings.

Finally after I break down my favorites from each site specifically, I will then finish up with top overall multi-site value plays. These are the top players viable across the industry, who are in line to out produce their respective salary, no matter what the site. All of these plays are just simply the best value plays that stand out across the industry, regardless of site.

Daily Fantasy Baseball: Top Value Plays – Yahoo!

SP – Wade Miley – Houston Astros – $35

We have a huge 14 game slate tonight with all games at 6:05 CST tonight, and the first thing that stuck out to me when searching for value, was the price difference among pitchers across different sites. With 28 pitchers in total to sort through, I found site specific options to break down, and it starts here today on Yahoo with Wade Miley.

First of all, Miley may be a little too cheap on FanDuel as well at $7,100, but there is an even cheaper pitcher there that makes sense with all of the bats to target, but we will get there later. He is affordable on DraftKings, but a little spendy in my opinion at $8,600, and same can be said about Fantasy Draft where is $16,900.

Here on Yahoo, $35 looks like a steal when you consider some of the options who are more expensive. John Means is only $1 less, and Anibal Sanchez who gets the cake revenge match-up against his former Detroit Tigers team is a whopping $47!! Even Mike Fiers is $5 more. Miley has been respectable all-season long compiling a 6-4 record with a 3.51 ERA, and he has a great match-up here against the lefty heavy Mariners. Unless I decide to pay up for two pitchers here, (which is very unlikely) Miley feels like a lock on Yahoo tonight.

OF – Jarrod Dyson – Arizona Diamondbacks – $9

I wanted to break my general rule of thumb and give you a much more expensive play that I feel is a value, but even though it has been a hot minute since I have given you a Daily Fantasy Baseball article here at FantasyCPR, I will still stick to them, but I won’t leave you hanging either.

Dyson for less than $10 here is pretty solid value. He is $4,600 on DK and $9,000 on Fantasy Draft, which is damn near superstar pricing. $3,100 on FanDuel makes him a little dicey as there are some better options, but this is near minimum price here. He is a fixture at the top of this Diamondbacks lineup as of late, is a stolen base threat with 19 on the season, and he gets a great match-up against Giants rookie Shaun Anderson.

These teams just squared off in Arizona, and Anderson pitched in Sundays match-up and fared well. However, Dyson and some others got the day off as Tim Locastro and Ildemaro Vargas were at the top of the order. Those that saw that Anderson threw well in this match-up last time and want to use him tonight, may want to take a look at what Arizona threw out there that day.

FanDuel MLB
FanDuel MLB: ST. LOUIS, MO – MAY 9: Paul Goldschmidt #46 of the St. Louis Cardinals hits n RBI ground-rule double against the Pittsburgh Pirates in the sixth inning at Busch Stadium on May 9, 2019 in St. Louis, Missouri. (Photo by Dilip Vishwanat/Getty Images) /

Daily Fantasy Baseball: Top Value Plays – FantasyDraft

IF – Paul Goldschmidt – St. Louis Cardinals – $7,700

You always have to keep an eye on starting lineups as they drop with Fantasy Draft, because you just might get some guy getting a spot start at minimum price or close to it. It seems there is always one, and the extra bat or arm you can pay up for because can help, but because I just do not see a viable one quite yet, let’s stick with a couple obvious ones.

As players struggle, the sites their respective salaries seem to be affected the most are DK and FD. Yahoo and Fantasy Draft seem to price up mediocre players who are playing well, and pricing down struggling superstars. It creates an interesting dynamic when you think about it, and obviously gives you more incentive to play a guy like Paul Goldschmidt here when he is under $8K, and facing a below-average lefty in Eric Lauer.

Goldy has notably struggled this season as most of the Cardinals offense has at times, but we do not get him in much better spots than this. It is just crazy to me that Jarrod Dyson is $9K here, while a player with the pedigree of Goldschmidt is so cheap, in even a great spot.

IF – Vladimir Guerrero Jr.. – Toronto Blue Jays – $6,400

It has obviously been a slower process than expected, but Vlad Jr. is getting there slowly but surely. We may go broke playing him, but it is very hard not to chase this price as it continues to dip pretty much around the industry. I want to make every excuse in the book for Guerrero as I believed the hype as much as any, but with Pete Alonso doing what he is doing in New York, I think it is time for Vlad to show us what he can do.

If Alonso can rake like this as a rookie, with a sub par offense around him, Vlad should be able to do the same. In a spot where I think many will consider Danny Duffy tonight, I can get behind playing a couple of Jays righties depending on their lineup. The power is still lacking, but on a positive note Guerrero was hitting .292 over his last 12 games, before Wednesdays series finale with the Yankees.

Daily Fantasy Baseball: Top Value Plays – FanDuel

SP – Yonny Chirinos – Tampa Bay Rays – $6,300

Site specific pitcher number two today, Chirinos was sort of late announcement as tomorrows starter, but it looks like he is penciled in, and way, way too cheap here. Texas is a tough match-up with the long ball ability, but I like the fact that this game will be in Tampa as opposed to in Arlington, and I love this K upside against the strikeout prone Rangers. Used in actual starter role unlike some of the Rays starters as we know and love to try to figure out, Chirinos has notched four straight quality starts, but his offense was only able to get him one win.

On the season, Chirinos is 7-3 with a 3.00 ERA, and he currently has a WHIP under 1.00. He doesn’t have great strikeout stuff, but has notched a respectable 71/17 K/BB ratio in 87 innings thus far this season. With pretty solid numbers, and the need to pay up for bats FanDuel seems to give us one or two cheap pitchers a night, and this one feels right. Chirinos is $44 on Yahoo, which makes Wade Miley $9 cheaper there, and DK has him priced up to where you at least have to think about it at $8,400. Without question, even with about 20 hours before lock, I can safely say Chirinos is my GPP pitcher today on FanDuel, barring some unforeseen circumstance.

OF – Jordan Luplow – Cleveland Indians – $2,900

Chalk alert! Luplow should hit cleanup tonight with the Indians in Baltimore facing lefty John Means, and when I saw this price on FanDuel I literally laughed out loud. I am personally a Luplow hater, but I cannot let that bias get in the way today. In fact I am just an Indians hater as I am a Twins fan, but that is neither here nor there. Regardless of my biases, Luplow will hit a bomb tonight off of Means as he did last time he faced him, and I am not sure how you can fade him at sub $3K here tonight.

Since it’s fun and we have been doing it with every other target so far, let’s compare the salary on Luplow across the industry as well. DK has him at $4,700. That is a solid no thank you. He will cost you $9,400 on Fantasy Draft, not sure I need to elaborate there since that is borderline insanity. And finally, Luplow is very much in play at $13 on Yahoo. However, I should mention Joc Pederson is only $15 on Yahoo in Coors. Remember before with Dyson when I said there was another play and I wouldn’t leave you hanging? I just remembered.  🙂

DraftKings MLB
HOUSTON, TX – SEPTEMBER 22: Jose Altuve #27 of the Houston Astros is picked up by Tony Kemp #18 after hitting a two-run home run in the eighth inning against the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim at Minute Maid Park on September 22, 2018 in Houston, Texas. (Photo by Bob Levey/Getty Images) /

Daily Fantasy Baseball: Top Value Plays – DraftKings

2B – Jose Altuve – Houston Astros – $3,900

Despite being priced up like the superstar is still is everywhere else, Altuve remains in play on DraftKings for another day. The day he returned from injury he was $4,900 and went 0-for-4. The next day he was just $3,800, and he has only cracked $4k once since then. That makes eight games now since he has been back, and he has hit safely in each of the seven games since that first game back.

Houston will be at home, and they will face lefty Tommy Milone who almost throws too slow that it is just hard to make good contact off of him. The Stros just got waxed in two straight games by the Pirates 14-2 and 10-0, so they should be looking to get back on track. The numbers are down for Altuve, but getting him while he is still cheap will be the key. As soon as he breaks out you can bet his salary will go up really quick. It took one 0-for-4 to drop it so low and not even a seven game hitting streak can boost it back up it seems.

SP (PLR) – Felix Pena – Los Angeles Angels – $6,700

It is no secret that paying up for pitching, especially on DraftKings, hasn’t really gone as planned this year. Just yesterday we had the Stephen Strasburg dilemma, where he was clearly the best pitching option on the slate, but at almost $12K he needed to get you over 30 DK points. At 35-40% in cash games, Strasburg cost a lot of people some cash as they likely could not afford any bats, and Strasburg only managed 14.95 DK points.

I am not sure I will ever roster a pitcher over $10K again this season on DraftKings with the way this season has gone, and you can bet in every GPP you see me in, I will probably have at least one pitcher under $8K. It is just the proven recipe for success this year, and since pitchers don’t score all that many points unless they rack up strikeouts, I will continue to take chances on cheap guys in good spots.

Now let’s touch on Pena. I love the match-up here against Oakland, as I see a chance for some revenge. Pena has been solid in that planned long relief role, usually entering in the second or third inning, and he has at the very least notched double-digit DK points in three straight outings. Even in his last outing where he took the loss and only lasted four innings, he still struck out five, and managed 12 DK points.

About that revenge. Pena has only gotten touched up really once this season, and that was back in early June against these Athletics in Oakland. He gave up seven earned runs in 1.2 innings, and just did not have it that day. With a healthy Shohei Ohtani and Justin Upton, and this offense clicking, I think Pena fares much better this time around. More importantly, It is really going to be hard to fade the Dodgers lefties again in Coors tonight against Rockies gas can Antonio Senzatela, and paying down for Pena will certainly help.

Daily Fantasy Baseball: Top Value Plays – Across the Industry!

Welcome to the most important, and final page of the article. On most days, certain value plays will line up well on 2 or three, or even all of the sites covered in this article.

From the looks of it, I have a piece of every player coming up here on at least two sites in my early lineups, so just because you did not see somebody yet on another site specific slide from earlier, he could be coming up right now.

SS – Miguel Rojas – Miami Marlins – ($3,300 DK, $2,600 FD, $6,400 Fantasy Draft, $13 Y!)

Let’s stick with yesterdays hero since it worked out so well for me. Shortstop is one of my value spots more often than not on larger slates, as most of the guys in the top tier are usually overpriced, and there are just better power bats at other positions, such as outfield and first base. Yesterday, over on WiseTake where I also contribute, I recommended fading Strasburg for cash games on DraftKings because of that price tag, and the only Marlins bat I wrote up to play was Rojas.

More from FanSided

Rojas won’t hit for power, but prior to last night he was hitting .333 in his last 20 games. He hit value in the first inning when he doubled and stole third to grab 10 quick DK points, and went on to have a four-hit night with three doubles and 31 DK points. It was huge since I missed on my pitchers big time with Walker Buehler and Tyler Beede, but that did not matter with the fact that I paid down there, and also played Max Muncy and Cody Bellinger. The Marlins will face Vince Velasquez and the Phillies at home to start the weekend series, and if Rojas remains in the leadoff spot, I will roll him out again as well until he cools off.

3B – Eugenio Suarez – Cincinnati Reds – ($3,700 DK, $2,700 FD, $7,500 Fantasy Draft, $8 Y!)

As the season progresses, and there are so many differences between the pricing between sites, it is becoming harder to find the value plays across the board. I really wanted to give you a pitcher that was viable everywhere, and it blew my mind that there were actually three different ones on three different sites that seem like obvious plays. I searched for an outfielder and there just is not a good fit, so let’s give this a struggling veteran a shot, since he is priced accordingly everywhere.

At the very least, Suarez will face a lefty, albeit a good one in Cole Hamels. Suarez is hitting .270 against lefties this season, and he has been known as a lefty killer for years basically up until this year, as he has notably struggled. He is hitting just .244, but has a respectable 16 home runs and 45 runs batted in before the all-star break. It has been a down year for sure, but if Suarez gets hot and has a huge second half of the season I will not be surprised.

Next. DraftKings MLB Picks - June 28. dark

That is all for today’s edition of MLB DFS Top Value Plays. I hope you like the format, as I think this is the best way to talk about which value bats and pitchers to consider, no matter what site you play on.
