3. Bradley Chubb will have more sacks than Von Miller

Chubb and Miller combine to be one of the most intimidating edge rushing duos in the NFL. To date, Miller has retained his place as the best pass rusher on the Broncos.

It’s inevitable that Chubb is going to supplant him at some point. This year seems like a good time for that to happen. It’s not as if there was a massive gulf between their production last season.

Miller ended the year with an incredible 14.5 sacks, but Chubb was nipping at his heels most of the season. In the end, he finished with 12 which was an excellent total in its own right. Both guys played like Pro Bowlers and there’s no reason to think it won’t happen again in 2019.

Expect both sack totals to decrease though. The Broncos are going to really struggle to win games. That means the defense will be playing against offenses trying to kill games off with the run on a regular basis. That’s a real problem for Miller since he’s the weaker run defender of the two.

In the end, it’s just a matter of age and energy. Chubb is ready to take the mantle from Miller as the team’s No. 1 edge rusher. Both guys are still going to have really good years, but Miller’s career is going to start to decline slowly.
