USWNT vs. England semifinals live stream: Watch World Cup live
The USWNT plays England on Tuesday, July 2 at the Stade de Lyon in Lyon, France. Here’s what to know before you watch.
There will be some pre-Independence Day fireworks when the United States plays England on Tuesday in Lyon for a place in the Women’s World Cup final.
The Americans are just two wins away from capturing what would be historic back-to-back titles, while England is trying to better their third-place finish four years ago.
The U.S. will be looking to strikers Alex Morgan and Megan Rapinoe, both with tournament-leading five goals, to generate the offense needed at the Stade de Lyon to snatch another win after last Friday’s 2-1 victory against hosts France in the highly-anticipated quarterfinal clash in Paris.
The USWNT’s defense, anchored by Crystal Dunn, will also need another big game against an England team that can generate offense (11 goals in five games) and are well-coached by former Manchester United defender Phil Neville.
England cruised to victory last Thursday, defeating Norway 3-0 in their quarterfinal match thanks to an outstanding team performance led by defender Lucy Bronze. Forward Ellen White, who also has five goals at this tournament, will be the one player the U.S. will especially need to keep a close eye on.
The Women’s World Cup game between the United States and England will be broadcast live on Fox. Live streaming is available on Fox Sports Go, which you can access with your cable or satellite subscriptions, either online or through the app.
