DraftKings PGA: 2019 John Deere Classic Picks and Analysis
The 3M Open was low-key the best PGA tournament to watch this year (behind The Masters because of Tiger). You probably have never heard of half of the names in the field, but it was extremely entertaining watching them attack the pin as these young guns are extremely fun to watch. Wolff and Morikawa played incredible, and that shot on 18 from Bryson had me and Bryson hyped! An eagle by Bryson to take the lead only to see the 20-year-old rookie make eagle less than 15 minutes later? Wow. I digress, we finally return to an event that the course history enthusiast can appreciate – The John Deere Classic and our DraftKings PGA picks!
The PGA Tour stays in the Midwest again this week, moving from Minnesota to Illinois asTPC Deere Run is playing host to The John Deere Classic. TPC Deere Run has hosted a PGA Tour event every year since 1972, so there is plenty of course history to touch up on. The course generally plays on the easier side, lending final scores hovering around 20-under.
The par-71 TPC Deere Run plays 7,257 yards. All three par-5’s play between 550-600 yards, so that is something to look into. The par 4’s range all over the map, from 480+ to under-350. The par-3’s are relatively difficult, so par-3 scoring may be a useful stat to research. The greens are Bentgrass again this week, and plus putters seem to have success at this course.
