6. Deshaun Watson

The current Houston Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson was an incredible collegiate player for Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney. Watson’s blend of arm strength and pocket escapability led the Tigers to a 2017 National Championship victory over the Alabama Crimson Tide.

Watson’s leadership qualities were also easy to recognize as his game translated into the exact replica of a high attention to detail quarterback.

Watson participated in 38 games in three years as a member of the Clemson program compiling a stat line of 90 touchdowns and only 32 interceptions along the way. The dual-threat quarterback ended slipping in the draft, but his collegiate career is recognized as absolutely phenomenal.

As a Heisman trophy nominee in 2015 and 2016 for his superb play, the quarterback’s resume is one of near perfection for the playmaker. The orange and white of a quarterback would fit perfectly on the cover of an EA Sports game, and it would mark the first Clemson player to ever star on the cover of an NCAA football game.
