WWE SmackDown Live preview, July 9: Watch online
Here’s all the information you need for the July 9, 2019 edition of WWE SmackDown!Live.
Alert the presses — Eric Bischoff is your new leader. If that alone doesn’t excite you or strike fear into your heart, you may want to just walk away. There is a new era that is emerging around WWE, and now is among the best time to keep your eyes peeled. This week’s SmackDown Live is a perfect place to start.
Last week, Kevin Owens and Dolph Ziggler were given a less-than-welcomed opportunity to get into the SmackDown Tag Title match at Extreme Rules. But the duo never could get on the same page and ended up brawling as the show ended last week. This week, the two will get chance to take out their frustrations on each other. Can Owens put down Ziggler, or will the Showoff pull off what would have to be an upset?
Two weeks ago, Shinsuke Nakamura stared down Finn Balor and the Intercontinental Championship. This week, the two will face off in a non-title match. A win for Nakamura could shake up the rankings for the I-C Title. For Balor, it could push him a step closer to the WWE Championship. A future showdown against Kofi Kingston could be worth putting pen to paper for.
For the last several weeks, Aleister Black has been doing videos where he’s basically pleading for someone to step up and answer his challenge. He wants a fight, and is waiting on someone to sign up. Two weeks ago, at the end of his video, there was finally a knock at his door. This week, we find out who exactly is ready to answer the challenge. Gut instincts are saying either Bray Wyatt or Randy Orton, but it could be literally any member of the SmackDown Live roster. Tuesday night, we’ll see who knocked on the door.

History proves these types of gatherings never go well, just look at practically any contract signing in WWE history.
