Fantasy Football Rankings: QB Strength of schedule
Ryan Fitzpatrick (23) – Do I think Fitzpatrick should start over Josh Rosen this season? 100% yes, please! I think Fitzmagic has the ability to open the field up more for this offense and get the ball in the hands of the big-play ability WR’s like DeVante “top-10 WR in training camp” Parker, Kenny Stills, Albert Wilson, and Jakeem Grant.
This schedule is pretty brutal though as Fitzpatrick starts off with the Ravens in week one, Cowboys in week 3, and then has another middle of the pack defenses sprinkled throughout the schedule. Regardless if it’s Fitzpatrick or Rosen, that schedule isn’t going to be too forgiving to either of them.
Carson Wentz (24) – Looking at Carson’s SOS, I’m not really seeing how he is ranked so low. I see a tough matchup against the Vikings, Cowboys twice, Bears, and Seahawks. The first 5 weeks should be a great start going against the Redskins, Falcons, Lions, Packers, and Jets.
It will be interesting to see if Wentz can stay healthy, especially with Nick Foles no longer in town. Before getting injured last season, Wentz had 5 top-10 fantasy QB weeks in the 13 games he played. One thing is for sure though, Wentz has plenty of weapons in Ertz, Jeffery, Jackson, Agholor, and Arcega-Whiteside.
Andy Dalton (25) – Coming off the worst fantasy season of his career, Andy Dalton is going to have a tough time bouncing back in 2019 due to having a top-10 hardest QB SOS schedule in 2019. You take a look at Dalton’s competition in the Seahawks, 49ers, Ravens twice, Jaguars, and Rams, and you can only fear for Dalton’s life behind that porous OL in Cincy.
The positive thing to look at is that new HC Zac Taylor is from the Sean Mcvay coaching tree, and hopefully he can help build this offense for the better. I think with guys like A.J. Green, Tyler Boyd, John Ross, and Joe Mixon, Dalton will have his weeks but won’t be a consistent option this season.
