MLB DFS Pitching Primer: Saturday, July 13

Welcome back to a special Saturday edition of the MLB DFS Pitching Primer! I’m Thunder Dan and I’ll be covering pitching for MLB DFS on all season long at FanSided Fantasy. I’m including both FanDuel and DraftKings pricing and will be covering my favorite pitching options for both sites.

"The goal of the pitching primer is to help you narrow down your pitching options for both your GPPs and cash games. Analyzing pitchers and pitching matchups is something I really enjoy and I hope to give you a detailed analysis of why I think each pitcher makes for a compelling cash or GPP play."

The primer is back for the first time since the All-Star break. We have a split slate today with four early games on FanDuel and only three on Draftkings. Then both sites feature an 11-game main slate for the evening games at 7:05.

I just got back from a mini-vacation that just happened to coincide with the All-Star Break and I’m feeling refreshed and I’m chomping at the bit to break down some pitchers and we certainly have some awesome arms going tonight! I hope you caught my homeboy Brandon Lauderback’s (also known as “LumberjackDFS” on Twitter) pitching article yesterday. We are going to be teaming up the rest of the season to make sure we can cover pitching as often as possible for our FanSided following.

I’m going to offer my thoughts on both the early and main slates today.  I always include my rankings for both cash and GPP contests at the end of every article, too.

Keeping track of which games are on which slates can be tricky so I’m going to lay everything out for you in my “first look,” which is where I put together a macro look at all the pitchers on today’s slates.
