FanDuel MLB: Top Hitting Stacks Main Slate

I’ve got to be honest, finding my top offensive stacks for this slate was too easy. That likely means they’ll be higher owned, which could be a problem. However, I’m hoping our SP pick could differentiate our lineup. Also, you could get creative with your stacks, depending on who’s ultimately in each lineup.

First of all, we likely all noticed the massive 19-run pile up in Coors Field yesterday. Yes, the Giants put on a hitting clinic in one of the most hitter friendly ballparks ever designed. Unfortunately, they followed that up with a low-scoring 2-1 win over the Rockies in the second game of their Monday double-header.

But, with Peter Lambert likely taking the mound for the Rockies, in Denver, I think the Giants can get back on board with their slugging week. Lambert is giving up 2.73 home runs per nine innings this season, the most of any starting pitcher on Tuesday night.

Considering the fact that he’s also pitching in Coors Field, against a team who piled up 21 total runs yesterday, you HAVE to consider stacking the Giants on Tuesday night. Lambert is a right-handed pitcher, so I’m mostly focused on lefties in the Giants lineup, like Alex Dickerson ($3,900), Brandon Crawford ($3,200) and Joe Panik ($3,000).

However, I think a veteran right-handed bat like Buster Posey ($3,300) is a good way to mix things up, hopefully differentiate the lineup, while also saving some salary for some other big plays.

The Tigers have Ryan Carpenter queued up to pitcher for them in Cleveland on Tuesday night. That’s good news for those of you considering stacking the Indians. Carp is nearly giving up as many home runs per nine, 2.63, and his 8.36 ERA has me licking my chops as I look at the Indians lineup.

Unfortunately, I’ve already spent a solid amount of my salary on some of the better Giants lefty bats for Tuesday. So I’m likely going to look for cheaper plays with righty bats like Jordan Luplow ($2,600) and Oscar Mercado ($2,700).

Luplow is a platoon player who hasn’t seen the plate much recently with a lot of right-handed pitchers facing the Indians. But, when there’s a lefty on the mound like Carpenter, Jordan is often slated to hit around the cleanup position, in the Tribe’s lineup. That’s a cheap price for that position!

Mercado is a more consistent young offensive player. The rookie hasn’t had an opportunity to play all season, yet he has seven stolen bases, six home runs, is slashing a .284 average, and piled up 31 runs already. Oscar is likely going to hit near the top of the lineup.

Finally, Jose Ramirez ($3,700) is having a dreadful season, after such an incredible year in 2018. However, Ramirez is starting to heat up, getting some pop in his bat. That’s perfect, because he’s also consistently moving around the base-path it steals, adding more points to his nearly double-digit point per game run in the last two weeks.
