MLB DFS Pitching Primer: Tuesday, July 16
Welcome back to the Tuesday edition of the MLB DFS Pitching Primer! I’m Thunder Dan and I’ll be covering pitching for MLB DFS on all season long at FanSided Fantasy. I’m including both FanDuel and DraftKings pricing and will be covering my favorite pitching options for both sites.
If you haven’t noticed yet, FantasyCPR is now officially FanSided Fantasy, you’re one-stop site for everything fantasy sports-related. I know everyone on our staff is really excited about the transition and the opportunity to grow our reach to more fantasy sports fans!
Nothing on our end is going to change, we just happen to have a new site to host our articles and we have big plans to continue expanding our content to give our readers the most comprehensive analysis of season-long and DFS, all for free!
"The goal of the pitching primer is to help you narrow down your pitching options for both your GPPs and cash games. Analyzing pitchers and pitching matchups is something I really enjoy and I hope to give you a detailed analysis of why I think each pitcher makes for a compelling cash or GPP play."
Last night’s pitchers did okay, but I was hoping for more. I ended up with some Daniel Norris and Max Fried shares in my lineups since I was doing MME again and they were solid at their price points, too.
Tonight we have a huge 15-game main slate on tap for both sites, but not a lot of great pitching options. We have another game in Coors with a massive total which is going to force DFS players into the old “pay for pitching or Coors” conundrum.
Coors looks juicy, but I don’t like too many of the cheaper pitching options. I am going to do my best to give you a few guys down at each price point to consider.
I always like to start by laying everything out for you in my “first look,” which is where I put together a macro look at all the pitchers on today’s slate.
