FanDuel MLB: Top Hitting Stacks Main Slate

Regardless of who I’m picking at the pitcher position, I’m unfortunately spending a good part of my salary. And, frankly, that’s going to make our favorite stacks difficult to fit into our lineups. So, the first thing we’re going to do is find some red-hot hitters, or hitters with good match-ups, and plug in those one-off plays.

That value, will make stacking the Astros and Indians more feasible. Before we get there, though, Wade Miley is having a decent year for the Astros. However, he is still giving up 1.47 home runs per nine innings.

That makes plugging in 31-year-old Angels catcher Dustin Garneau ($2,000) a very appealing option from the right side of the plate. Dustin just hit a home run against the Astros yesterday, and has been consistently active at the plate over the last couple of week.

Two other value plays I like are Mark Canha ($3,000) facing Kyle Gibson and Nick Ahmed ($2,800) facing Zach Davies. Yes, Davies is pitching well this season, but the D-Backs offense is red-hot. A big part of the Diamondbacks offensive surge has been Ahmed’s consistent hitting in July.

We have a very good chance of getting double-digit points from Ahmed, and Canha could help with a pop over the all in Minnesota, where the Mets just teed off on the Twins.

With that value in place, I’m looking for some big bats from the Indians and Astros. Before I look at the Stros, I know some of the cheaper Tribe options like Jordan Luplow ($2,700) and Oscar Mercado ($3,100) are smoking hot, consistent, and fairly cheap.

That makes playing guys like Jose Altuve ($3,900) and Yuli Gurriel ($3,900) against Matt Harvey easy to work. Frankly, you can plug and play with most of the Astros lineup, and cheaper bats like Josh Reddick ($2,800) will likely make a three to four Stros fit into your lineup.
