Welcome to my FanDuel MLB DFS breakdown for the 7/22 main slate! This article will help you condense your player pool and build your optimal cash and GPP lineups on FanDuel.

After a nice Saturday FanDuel MLB slate in which a Jackie Bradley Jr. double-dong and a vintage Clayton Kershaw masterpiece carried me into cashing in all formats, I decided to take the Sunday slate off and gear up for tonight’s 11-game Monday slate in Major League Baseball.

We have a pair of aces (Gerrit Cole and Mike Clevinger) with beautiful matchups, but can only roster one of them on FanDuel and both could lead to very different lineup construction. On the flip side, there are also a handful of mid-tier pitchers that could warrant consideration, one of which I will save for the next slide.

When it comes to offense on tonight’s slate, there aren’t a ton of offenses with massive totals, but at the time of writing (the night prior), the Indians, Yankees, Twins, Astros, and Diamondbacks all have implied run totals (IRTs) north of 5.

As a reminder, I will run through my top play and my favorite value play at the 6 respective positions on FanDuel, while also including my honorable mentions; players that are viable in all formats, but didn’t quite make the cut as a top play.
