When we think about traditional looks in college football, one of the conferences that immediately evokes a no-nonsense image is the Southeastern Conference. And among SEC schools, one of the best traditional looks like the burnt orange and navy blue of the Auburn Tigers. Coupled with a logo that is unmistakably Auburn, the Tigers fully lean into their well-defined brand.

The Tigers helmets are a classic image of college football, with the interlocking AU logo in navy and orange popping against the side of the gloss white helmets. Orange and navy stripes down the center complete the look. Coupled with the traditional navy jerseys and white pants, it is a quintessential fashion statement. On the road, Auburn employs a clean all-white look that accents the helmet even further.

Since signing with Under Armour in 2010, the Tigers have shown no ambitions of going away from those two classic ensembles. One can easily imagine what Auburn alternate uniforms might look like — a monochromatic all-navy look; helmets in the other school colors; even a greater embrace of burnt orange in the pants and jerseys.

Auburn, though, doesn’t need to drift toward gimmickry. As one of those college football teams that settled on what looked good to them and has opted to deviate as little as possible from those combinations, the Tigers look has swagger in its simplicity.
