Ranking the 50 most visually-appealing college football uniforms
By Zach Bigalke
Just like Memphis, Colorado State has a ready-made opportunity to style their uniform after their animal mascot. And for decades, the Rams have done just that. Whether wearing their traditional green helmets with gold horns, or one of the various alternate helmets they have produced in recent years, the Rams honor their mascot with spectacular uniforms on a weekly basis.
Beyond the helmets, including the more stylized depiction of a ram’s horn on the side of several alternates, Colorado State has donned some stunning alternate uniforms in recent campaigns. That includes an Ag Day throwback to their days in orange and green, the school’s primary colors through the 1950s.
Perhaps their best alternate, however, is the Colorado Pride uniform that was first worn in 2017 and is due to make a reappearance in 2019. Though this uniform does not incorporate the ram’s horn pattern in any of its iterations, the aesthetic is well worth the tradeoff.
Whether wearing horns or donning another look, the Rams are always dressed to the nines. With a variety of alternatives to go with their classic green and gold attire, Colorado State’s wardrobe is one of the most visually pleasing not just in the Mountain West but across all of college football.
