Not only does Hawaii enjoy one of the most picturesque home-field advantages in college football, but they also look as stylish when they take the field away from Aloha Stadium as when they get to stay on the island. In recent years they have employed a variety of great concepts in collaboration with uniform supplier Under Armour.

The Rainbow Warriors have a solid primary look, with black pants and black helmets matched with a trio of jersey options in white, green, and black. Last year’s all-black effort came out especially arresting, as they shifted away from a focus on silver. The helmet decals featuring the state footprint on one side, introduced in 2018 on the road against Colorado State to show solidarity with those back home facing down Hurricane Lane, are another nice touch in the ensemble.

It would be a disservice to go any further without talking about perhaps the greatest throwback uniform in college football. For their 2016 road game against Ohio State, the Rainbow Warriors hearkened back to the 1980s with an all-white number featuring rainbow stripes on the shoulders and pants and the white helmets with the old UH rainbow logo.

While Hawaii has a great wardrobe without the retro set, incorporating more of the classic Rainbow Warriors look would vault this team even further up the charts of the best-dressed squads in college football.
