Here’s all the information you need for the July 23, 2019 edition of WWE SmackDown Live.

There is a lot to discuss regarding this week’s edition of SmackDown Live. The blue brand will have some work to do, following Monday’s Raw Reunion, so let’s kick things off with the WWE Champion.

Last week, WWE Champion Kofi Kingston found himself on the pinned end of a six-man tag that saw Randy Orton, Elias and Samoa Joe pick up a win over The New Day. While Orton, Elias, and Joe had stated their cases for a shot at the WWE Championship, it begs the question of who will actually receive that shot. And it appears Kingston may hold the answer to that.

This week, Kingston is expected to issue a challenge for SummerSlam. Who does he have in mind? After getting pinned by The Viper last week, does that entitle him a shot for the championship? Who exactly does Kingston have in mind to face at the Biggest Event of the Summer?

The situation between Shane McMahon and Kevin Owens has been getting highly volatile lately. Shane-O-Mac has been on receiving end of three Stunners over the last two weeks, and has promised he will address Owens this week on SmackDown Live. Attempts to have Owens barred from the building clearly haven’t worked, and Owens is pretty much in an “I do what I want, when I want” frame of mind these days, so it will be interesting to see what goes down on Tuesday night.

Last week, Ember Moon got a huge surprise when SmackDown Women’s Champion Bayley offered a shot at her title at SummerSlam. While The Shenom was elated and gladly accepted the opportunity, she’ll get a huge tune-up for that match this week. She’ll go one-on-one with former champion Charlotte Flair. One can bet that Flair wasn’t thrilled that she was overlooked for the title shot, and will look to take out her frustrations on Moon this week.

The next few weeks will be rather intriguing for SmackDown Live, considering its move to FOX in October. Expect a lot of things to happen over the next several weeks, as WWE prepares for the big move.
