FanDuel MLB – Top Second Basemen

Top Play: Max Muncy | LAD | $4,100

Back again with the Dodgers! While Pederson has been dominant against righties, you could argue that Max Muncy has been even more dominant. He’s posted a 0.405 wOBA with a 0.298 ISO while also walking at a 15.7% clip, demonstrating elite patience at the plate.

His 44.4% hard-contact rate should go hand-in-hand with Barria’s increased exit velocity that he allows and his 0.221 ISO against the slider should spell disaster in a matchup that the slider checks in as Barria’s primary pitch against lefties (49.50% of the time).

Value Play: Brian Dozier | WAS | $2,700

I’ll continue the theme of under-priced Nationals in a smash spot here with Brian Dozier, who has made a career out of brutalizing left-handed pitching.

As stated in the previous slide, Kyle Freeland has allowed a 0.396 wOBA and 0.284 ISO against right-handed hitters this season. On top of that, Dozier has experienced a renaissance this season in Washington, posting a 0.422 wOBA, 0.264 ISO and a 35.3% hard-contact rate against lefties. I expect him to be the most popular second baseman tonight and I would recommend eating this chalk.

Honorable Mention(s): Ozzie Albies, Jason Kipnis, Starlin Castro
