FanDuel MLB – Top Shortstops

Top Play: Francisco Lindor | CLE | $4,200

While I could easily slot Trea Turner in here and round out a full-blown Nats stack, I cannot ignore how hot Lindor has been at the plate.

He’s recorded 9 hits over his last 5 outings, 3 of which have been XBHs/HRs and has also recorded 5 RBIs in that span. On the season against righties, Lindor has posted a 0.384 wOBA and 0.248 ISO with a 45.9% hard-contact rate.

Marcus Stroman hasn’t gotten brutalized by lefties this season, but the sheer power and speed combination that Lindor brings to the table is more than enough to vault him into the spot of the top overall SS tonight.

Value Play: Corey Seager | LAD | $2,900

While the other Dodgers that I’ve written up tonight have come as the top plays at their positions, you can find a nice source of salary relief with Seager while gaining exposure to one of the top offenses on the slate.

He’s posted a 0.392 wOBA and 0.232 ISO against righties this season with a 43.4% fly-ball rate and while he may not be batting out of the 2-hole anymore, he still brings almost as much upside as anyone tonight, as Jaime Barria has allowed a 0.374 wOBA and 0.221 ISO to LHH this season.

Honorable Mention(s): Trea Turner, Paul DeJong, Didi Gregorious
