On March 18, 2019, the boss revealed that he had signed a new, seven-year contract with the UFC. This announcement came at a pivotal moment in the UFC as it opened massive new complexes in China, Las Vegas and announced plans for another in Mexico. No matter what you think of White it’s clear that we know what to expect with him at the helm and the idea of a new leading man could be incredibly scary for devout fans. We won’t have to worry about that for at least seven more years … thankfully.
Dana White fund’s surgery
By Kristen King
Almost a decade ago, Dana White was made aware of a situation regarding a little girl from Thailand in need of a liver transplant. If said surgery was not done in a timely manner, then Tuptim Jadnooleum would have died and that was something White absolutely did not want to happen. After being sought out by Jadnooleum’s father for assistance, White made the decision to quickly send over the remaining $50,000 for the surgery and the rest, as they say, was history.
Jadnooleum underwent a successful surgery and went on to meet White during a trip to Thailand in 2018. For White, a lasting relationship with Jadnooleum and her family was one of the best rewards to come from this situation. He even went on to say that his decision to help was “one of the greatest things I’ve ever done in my life”.
So, if you ever find yourself wrapped up in the abundance of negativity surrounding the UFC President on a regular basis, take the time to remember this incredible full-circle moment that surely warms the heart of anyone who hears or reads about it.
