WWE: Top 5 first opponents Buddy Murphy should face

3. Ricochet

Ricochet and Buddy Murphy are no strangers to each other. Though their matches were mostly featured on house shows, the two men tore those houses down when they wrestled. Ricochet has been on a tear as of late. Since moving to the main roster, he’s dazzled with an aerial onslaught in matches featuring some high-level names. This led him to his first United States Championship and an ongoing battle with AJ Styles.

Who better to interrupt the back-and-forth with Styles and Ricochet than “The best kept secret?” Murphy could easily slide into the mix, putting himself in prime position to capture the US title himself. Or, we could see a bit of a character shift and have Murphy side with Ricochet to even the odds against Styles, Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson, respectively now known as the OC.

Even if it’s just a couple of one-off matches to get Murphy’s feet wet on the main roster, he and Ricochet would put on a clinic not easily forgotten.
