A five-count rundown from this week’s episode of WWE NXT, keeping you up to date on the latest happenings in the black and yellow brand.
This week’s edition of NXT was a good episode with a fantastic main event. By the time the episode ended we also got a look at the full card for NXT TakeOver: Toronto on August 10. We have no doubt that the black and gold brand is going to have another great event on their hands in just over a week’s time.
But for now, let’s not waste any more time and get right into this week’s episode. This is the NXT 5 Count!
1. Breezango reunites in NXT
NXT opened this week with Tyler Breeze going one-on-one with Jaxson Ryker. The match didn’t last very long and it was fine for what it was. But the match itself wasn’t the story they were trying to tell this week.
After Breeze won the match with a roll-up victory, the Forgotten Sons attacked Breeze post-match and gave him a pretty good beat down. He just couldn’t overcome the three-on-one odds.

Clearly, the Full Sail crowd knew what was coming as there were loud chants for Fandango. He answered the call, making his return from injury to the black and gold brand and helping Breeze clean house to send The Forgotten Sons packing.
The tag team known as Breezango embraced in the middle of the ring. The NXT roster continues to bolster its star power by adding another WWE main-roster talent to its ranks. If the rumors of NXT moving to Fox Sports 1 this year proves true, we might be seeing more roster moves occur over the next two months before we get there.
