When does Fear The Walking Dead return with new episodes? Fans of AMC‘s horror prequel have definitely noticed by now that the show has been missing from the schedule—but fear not (no pun intended), it already has a return date.
AMC has given Fear its usual midseason break, which they’ve used this season to support two of its other shows. Last week, the show was replaced by an extra episode of freshman horror series NOS4A2, while this week the final season of Preacher is getting super-sized. It’s worth repeating that this break is normal, and not the network trying to pull a fast one on Walking Dead fans.
The hiatus is almost over, too. The next new episode of Fear is scheduled for Sunday, Aug. 11 in the show’s regular 9 p.m. time slot, and the rest of the season will pick up from there without any further interruption (at least as of now).
The next new episode is called “Channel 4,” and is not a reference to the British TV station of the same name. Instead, it continues the survivors’ quest to find other people in need of help and to stop them from becoming zombie food—so it’s a variation on what viewers have been seeing a lot this season. But then again, in this post-apocalyptic world, there are a lot of people who need help!
