Nebraska football is entering the 2019 season with plenty of hype and here are five reasons why the Huskers will fulfill it and win the Big Ten West.

It’s crazy to think that a team fresh off back-to-back 4-8 seasons is getting a lot of hype heading into 2019, but when it comes to Nebraska football, that’s exactly what’s happening.

There are lots of reasons for excitement heading into this season. Not only did Nebraska finish the 2019 season strong, winning four of the last six games, the Huskers also notched a big win over Michigan State and lost narrowly to both Ohio State and Iowa, on the road.

Those efforts and the way the team competed down the stretch certainly gave the fanbase hope for this season. Of course, after the eras of Mike Riley and Bo Pelini, Husker fans are all too ready to believe that Scott Frost is the savior.

Frost is the favored son. He was a legendary high school football player, then a Cornhusker starting quarterback for Tom Osborne’s 1997 national championship team. He has coached at Oregon as offensive coordinator and everyone who follows college football knows what he accomplished at Central Florida.

While there are plenty of reasons to believe a good season is on the way, the trust in Frost and all the progress made over the last year have put the program in a strong position heading into this season and here are the five best reasons Nebraska football will win the Big Ten West.
