Some of the world’s best teams finally take the field for the start of the Premier League on Friday. Here are five games you can’t miss this season.

England’s top flight finally kicks off its 380-game schedule Friday when Liverpool hosts newly-promoted Norwich City, a game followed by a full slate of matches spread out across the weekend.

The Premier League will feature VAR this season, meaning the tournament will fall in line with Europe’s other top domestic competitions such as Serie A and the Bundesliga. The use of video replay has been controversial, especially after referees made a series of head-scratching decisions at this summer’s Women’s World Cup.

The use of VAR could very likely result in more on-field reviews and longer stoppage times, adding to the drama the Premier League has become known for over the past decade.

Furthermore, the league’s competitive level has risen dramatically in just a few years. It’s worth noting that Liverpool defeated Tottenham to capture the Champions League in all-England final. Chelsea won the Europa League versus Arsenal in the other all-England game with a continental trophy on the line.

Manchester City, meanwhile, claimed the league title on the final day of the season, edging Liverpool out by a single point. With that exciting finale after a nine-month marathon, circle your calendars and don’t forget to catch these five matches.
