WWE SmackDown Live preview, August 6: Watch online
Here’s all the information you need for the August 6, 2019 edition of WWE SmackDown Live.
It’s the final stop for WWE before this Sunday’s big SummerSlam event, as SmackDown Live heads to Detroit for a little Tuesday night action.
Last week, we found out that Hall of Famer Trish Stratus will square off against Charlotte Flair. The Queen was enraged after SmackDown Women’s Champion Bayley overlooked her for a title shot and gave it to Ember Moon instead. So Flair set out to find a star-caliber opponent, and she found one in Sunday’s hometown girl. Stratus will be in attendance on Tuesday night, and will likely have a few words for Flair.
The investigation behind last week’s near-catastrophic incident involving Roman Reigns has continued since it happened last Tuesday night. It has been revealed that a forklift driver was to blame for the lighting equipment toppling over on him. He was then attacked by a driver on Monday night, proving it was no accident. Reigns should be on hand this week and hopefully can shed some more light on this developing situation.
The WWE Championship will be on the line this Sunday, as Kofi Kingston defends against Randy Orton. Kingston has enjoyed a mountain of success with the championship, but this may be a more determined Viper than we’ve ever seen. Will we see these two just days before their showdown at SummerSlam?
