3. Jake Fromm – Georgia

As earlier touched on, Justin Fields left the Georgia Bulldogs because Jake Fromm had solidified himself as the starting quarterback for head coach Kirby Smart’s team. Fields was expected to slide in after this upcoming year, but with his transfer, this seems like an all or nothing year for Fromm and the rest of the Bulldogs.

Fromm, who is another quarterback with his sights set on the NFL, now will be responsible for the team’s success this season. Now, all of the pressure is piled into one last Jake Fromm led season no matter what the results end up being.

If Fromm does not produce a championship and an Ohio State Buckeyes team led by Justin Fields does, you can bet there will be a ton of criticism for both him and Kirby Smart. Even if Fromm comes out struggling, there will be whispers about the ‘what if’ factor surrounding the departed Fields.

The junior quarterback also has to be thinking about his long-term as a quarterback in the NFL. He has had some impressive performances in big games but has yet to win the biggest of them all. He has the opportunity to prove he is clutch, but if not, there will always be some doubt in Athens, Georgia.
