The FanSided Fantasy football staff participated in a 15-round Fantasy Football Mock Draft. The eighth overall pick is not ideal but presents some opportunities. We will take a look at the selections made and the thought processes behind each.

Some of the staff at FanSided fantasy football participated in a mock draft. Fantasy Football Mock Drafts are an invaluable resource as one gets ready for the real thing. It helps to give one a more accurate depiction of ADP and helps alert owners to players who may slip through the cracks on draft day.

Of course your mock drafts cannot be taken as gospel as many owners are testing out different strategies to see if a particular approach works better than another.

The draft is a half ppr league with fifteen rounds. We are asked to start one QB, two running backs, two wide receivers, one tight end and two flexes.

For the FanSided fantasy football mock draft I ended up with the eighth overall pick. Eighth overall likely means you are going with David Johnson or Deandre Hopkins if they are available. If both are already off of the board one may turn their sights to the likes of Davante Adams or Joe Mixon.

For each pick I will detail my thought process. We will take a look at the specific targets I had in each round. We will also list the players actually available that I considered with each pick. Finally, we will take a look at the player I ultimately selected with each pick.
