Kevin Owens puts his WWE career on the line in order to try to rid us of Shane McMahon once and for all at SummerSlam.

Shane McMahon, the son of WWE Chairman and CEO Vince McMahon, has dominated both Monday Night Raw and SmackDown Live since winning the 2018 World Cup and proclaiming himself “Best in the World.” Kevin Owens is tired of hearing about it and tired of McMahon taking up TV time when other wrestlers could be getting a shot, wrestlers he says are more worthy of that TV time than his boss.

The two men have been feuding on SmackDown for a couple of weeks and will face off in a head-to-head match at SummerSlam this Sunday. The agreement is that if McMahon wins the fight, Owens will officially quit the WWE.

Owens challenged McMahon after weeks of voicing his opinion, and McMahon claims to have accepted only because he feels the WWE Universe needs to see “The Best in the World” in action. That said, McMahon was absent from SmackDown Live last week, which was answered with cheers from the crowd. It seems the WWE Universe will support Owens in his attempt to shut down McMahon, and it’s likely he has the backing of the bulk of the locker room.

The real question is, will McMahon actually show up alone or will he have one of his cronies (Drew McIntyre and Elias) by his side to ruin the match? McMahon is not known for winning battles on his own, and if he really wants Owens to quit, it’s likely he won’t show up alone. So if he brings a sidekick, how will Owens fare? Looks like fans will have to wait and see what they both have in store for the match, and tune in on Sunday for the answer.
