Some of the staff at Fantasy CPR recently participated in a Fantasy Football Mock Draft and here’s what we learned to use for the season, from the first overall pick.

Fantasy Football Mock Draft Pick 1

Hey everyone, I am Brandon Lauderback, better known as LumbrjackDFS. I will be writing a weekly article for this NFL season, where I cover the top GPP options for the main slate on FanDuel. Recently, everyone over at Fantasy CPR participated in a mock draft, and I was fortunate enough to pick from the first position.

When drafting in traditional leagues, I actually prefer to draft from either the first spot, or the last spot. This is because I get the chance to draft two players back-to-back, and If I get the very first spot, I get the chance at locking in the best player in the league.

We will breakdown my draft three rounds at a time, and If I am being honest, I really like the team that I drafted. It was my first draft period for this season, and I wish I had this team for my paid league.

One thing I always like to do is draft a running back in the first round, regardless of where I am picking. Securing a top end back is key in my opinion, especially if you can grab a player like C Mac, or Kamara who have pass catching ability as well. Anyway, let dive right into our first pick of the the draft!
