A look at the start time, match card, live stream info and more for the 2019 edition of WWE SummerSlam.

For the first time in 15 years, WWE SummerSlam will take place outside the United States as the second-biggest show on the company calendar returns to Toronto, the same city which hosted the event back in 2004. What used to be called the Air Canada Centre is now Scotiabank Arena and the home to the NBA world champion Toronto Raptors will serve as the host venue for the “biggest party of the summer.”

With 10 matches currently on the card, SummerSlam features a number of big grudge matches, two of which feature the return of a WWE Hall of Famer. In front of her hometown crowd, Trish Stratus will take on Charlotte Flair and on the men’s side of things, Goldberg is back to battle Dolph Ziggler. Then, of course, there’s Shane McMahon vs. Kevin Owens and “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt will make his in-ring return when he goes one-on-one with Finn Balor.

There’s also the matter of all the title matches. WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar will defend against Seth Rollins and Randy Orton looks to end KofiMania with the WWE Championship on the line. Becky Lynch has a new challenger for her Raw Women’s Championship and will face Natalya in a Submission Match while SmackDown Women’s Champion Bayley defends against Ember Moon.

The United States Championship is on the line when AJ Styles once again goes at it with Ricochet and Oney Lorcan has finally earned a shot at the WWE Cruiserweight Championship and will face Drew Gulak.

At the time of this writing, no matches have been set for the Kickoff Show but with two hours to fill, we’ll likely see a few things added to the card. The Intercontinental Championship and both sets of men’s tag titles are not currently featured on the SummerSlam card so that seems to be the likely play for Sunday evening. We’re also likely set for the continuation of the Roman Reigns saga.

Here’s everything you need to know for the 2019 edition of WWE SummerSlam.

WWE SummerSlam 2019 match card

Goldberg vs. Dolph Ziggler

Which do you think will be longer? This sentence or this match?

Trish Stratus vs. Charlotte Flair

As far as dream matches go in the women’s division, it doesn’t get much bigger than this as WWE Hall of Famer Trish Stratus returns to the ring to go one-on-one with Charlotte Flair. Stratus was a seven-time champion in WWE and only one woman in history has held more titles in the women’s division, and that’s Flair.

Finn Balor vs. “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt

For the first time in a long time, Bray Wyatt will actually have a match and will make his return against Finn Balor, who was the first target of his upon his return to television. There’s been no confirmation yet on whether or not Balor will bring out “The Demon” to combat “The Fiend.”

Kevin Owens vs. Shane McMahon

The stipulation here is that if Shane McMahon beats Kevin Owens, KO will quit WWE. Expect plenty of outside involvement here.

WWE Cruiserweight Champion Drew Gulak vs. Oney Lorcan

While this match for the WWE Cruiserweight Championship could easily find its way to the Kickoff Show, this should be a physical matchup as champ Drew Gulak takes on Oney Lorcan, who earned the title shot after winning a Six-Pack Challenge on 205 Live.

United States Champion AJ Styles vs. Ricochet

AJ Styles and Ricochet have been going back and forth for a while for the WWE United States Championship and the two will go at it once again this Sunday at SummerSlam. Styles took the title from The One and Only at Extreme Rules but Ricochet earned his way back into the hunt with a win in a Gauntlet Match on Monday Night Raw. This should be another great match.

SmackDown Women’s Champion Bayley vs. Ember Moon

Ember Moon gets her first big title shot on the main roster this Sunday at SummerSlam as she takes on SmackDown Women’s Champion Bayley. The two were teamed up in a recent tag match on SmackDown Live and then Bayley just threw out the challenge, which Ember obviously accepted.

WWE Champion Kofi Kingston vs. Randy Orton

Ten years ago, Randy Orton and Kofi Kingston had a memorable feud that didn’t end so well for Kofi. A decade later, KofiMania is running wild and Kingston is looking for a little bit of revenge. A lot of real-life elements have played out as this storyline has unfolded and it’s been fun to watch.

Raw Women’s Champion Becky Lynch vs. Natalya (Submission Match)

After multiple pay-per-view matches with Lacey Evans, Becky Lynch needed a new challenger for her Raw Women’s Championship and Natalya has stepped up with a new attitude and will challenge for the title in her home country. After teasing a Submission Match a couple of weeks out, the stipulation was officially added this past Monday night.

WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar vs. Seth Rollins

In a WrestleMania rematch, WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar, who got his title back at Extreme Rules after cashing in his Money in the Bank contract, will battle Seth Rollins, who has just taken some crazy beatings at Lesnar’s hands the past few weeks. Will The Beast Slayer even be ready to go at SummerSlam?
