Watford face Brighton at Vicarage Road on Saturday, August 10. Here’s all the info you need to watch.

Although last season’s FA Cup final appearance ended in humiliation for Watford, Javi Gracia’s side are still among the band of teams that look capable of breaking into the Premier League’s top six, even if they’ve so far failed to make any waves in the transfer market this summer.

In contrast, this is certainly a season of transition for Brighton. The club’s likable but limited head coach Chris Hughton was dismissed the day after last season ended, then club captain Bruno retired — although he’s remained at Brighton in a coaching capacity — and finally Anthony Knockaert, the Championship player of the season when Brighton earned promotion to the Premier League two years ago, left to join Fulham on loan.

Hughton has been replaced by Graham Potter, who created many headlines during his time at Ostersund in Sweden, where he earned three promotions in just five years and won the first major trophy in the club’s history with 2017’s Swedish Cup triumph. Last season he guided Swansea to mid-table safety in the Championship in the spite of the club’s significant financial difficulties

He’ll be hoping that the arrivals of winger Leandro Trossard from Belgian champions Genk and Brentford’s highly-rated striker Neal Maupay will finally allay Brighton’s longstanding struggles in front of goal.
