Bayley’s Nightmare

Since winning her first SmackDown Live Women’s Championship, Bayley has stated she wants to be a fighting champion. She has stayed true to her word as she’s successfully defended her title against some of the WWE’s finest. As of this writing, Bayley overcame an impressive display by Ember Moon at SummerSlam to retain her title. The hard-fought match was one that Bayley herself had asked for.

If she’s handing out matches there’s someone by the name of Rhea Ripley who has a score to settle with Bayley. Ripley, who can usually be seen causing destruction on NXT UK, made an impressive showing at the second annual Women’s Royal Rumble match earlier in 2019. Ripley seemed almost unstoppable until Bayley tipped her out of the ring with a back body drop. Ripley took to Twitter telling Bayley “you will pay for that” to which Bayley responded, “Come get some.” With the women being on separate brands nothing came of the back-and-forth but that’s the beauty of Evolution 2. Borders can be crossed and we can get classic match-ups we wouldn’t see otherwise.

A match between Bayley and Ripley could quite honestly steal the show. Ripley has improved week after week since her initial appearance in the first ever Mae Young Classic and Bayley has the skills to put on a clinic if given the opportunity and the right opponent. It’s a match that should happen sooner rather than later and Evolution 2 would be the time.
