Four staff members from FanSided Fantasy combined to bring readers our personal Wide Receiver Tiers for the fantasy football draft season!

A group at FanSided Fantasy decided that with draft season right around the corner, that we wanted to share our personal tiers and give some insight into why we think this way. We broke this up into fantasy football wide receiver Tiers, so you know where you are with receivers in your draft.

As we come out with the different positions, the goal is to create what amounts to a mini draft kit to help you navigate a draft board. The three gentleman joining me in this endeavor are Dan Everhart, Dan Palyo(Thunder Dan henceforth) and Joe Metz.

Please join in the conversation on Twitter(mine is @bucn4life) and @fantasyCPR to let us know what you agree with or what you think we got wrong. It’s just about the most wonderful time of the fantasy football year! To make this one a little easier to digest, we’ve split each Tier into two parts.

Wide Receiver – Tier One

Dan

Davante Adams – Doesn’t get enough credit in the best wide receiver conversation

DeAndre Hopkins – Guy is a monster no matter who his quarterback is

Julio Jones – Can’t really go wrong with any of these top 3 guys this year as long as Julio stays healthy and gets in the end zone a bit more

Odell Beckham Jr – He’s setup to have a great year as long as he stays healthy. Per my bold predictions and hot takes article, he’s only played 15+ games twice in his career.

Michael Thomas – My guy! I love Michael Thomas – that’s all there is to say.

Mike Evans – Absolute monster who also is underrated but I think will put up huge numbers this year.

JuJu Smith Schuster – Has to be in the tier 1 conversation this year I think. We’ll see how it goes but I love everything about him and the Pittsburgh offense even without AB.

Joe

Davante Adams

DeAndre Hopkins

Julio Jones – yardage will always be there, but can legitimately take the overall WR1 spot if can find the endzone more than last season.

Odell Beckham Jr. – we could really see a return to his elite WR1 days with Mayfield’s elite accuracy and arm strength.

Michael Thomas

JuJu Smith-Schuster – While he’ll see a lot more of the top corners this year, his speed and size combo make him a legitimate deep threat and huge red zone target while seeing a massive uptick in volume.

Thunder Dan

Davante Adams

DeAndre Hopkins

Odell Beckham Jr – I’m a tad skeptical about the Cleveland offense, but his talent is undeniable and he should get a ton of targets from Baker.

Julio Jones – Julio is a target monster and yardage machine. If he has some touchdown progression this year, he could end up number one overall.

JuJu Smith-Schuster – Primed for a huge year with AB gone, JuJu has the talent and opportunity to rack up 100+ catches, 1200+ yards and a bunch of TDs.

Mike Evans – I love this Tampa passing game this year and Evans is poised for a big season.

Adam

Davante Adams – He was one of the best and most consistent fantasy assets in 2018 when Aaron Rodgers threw just 25 touchdowns.

DeAndre Hopkins – I’m convinced this man can catch anything on the planet.

Julio Jones – Imagine what his perception would be if he had more than 25 receiving touchdowns over the past 4 years.

JuJu Smith-Schuster – He’s my WR1. If his raw targets maintain, he would need 34 of the 168(20.2 percent) left behind from Antonio Brown to reach 200 targets. The league record is 208, and I’ll take my chances with fantasy scoring with that type of volume.

Odell Beckham – The Baker Mayfield-OBJ connection is going to terrify defensive coordinators all year long.

Mike Evans – Chris Godwin is getting all the hype, but this is an offense that just saw about 30 percent of last season’s targets depart. Evans is coming off one of the quietest 1,500 yard seasons in recent memory.

Tyreek Hill – Pending format, he was the WR1 last year. The only on-field concern is the regression for the Chiefs offense that should be due after 66 offensive touchdowns in 2018.
