Man City face Tottenham at Etihad Stadium on Saturday, Aug. 17. Here’s all the info you need to watch.
Two of the Premier League’s best clubs meet at Etihad Stadium on Saturday as Manchester City host Tottenham. The Citizens won their second straight Premier League and are looking to win their third straight championship. Tottenham finished fourth last season but reached the Champions League final after knocking out Manchester City in the quarterfinal.
Manchester City easily won their first game of the season, beating West Ham 5-0. Raheem Sterling scored three goals in the second as part of the dangerous City attack. After scoring 95 goals last season, the Citizens could score even more goals this season. Riyad Mahrez assisted on three of City’s goals against West Ham. With Leroy Sane expected to miss most of the season with a torn ACL, Mahrez and Bernardo Silva will be given larger roles this season.
Tottenham got off to a bit of a slow start in their first game of the season against Aston Villa. Spurs were down 1-0 well into the second half before exploding for three goals in the final 20 minutes. Tanguy Ndombele scored in his Spurs debut, following a club-record transfer of €60 from Lyon. The French midfielder looks like he could be a great signing this season and will play a large role in midfield. Harry Kane scored twice against Aston Villa, first in the 86th minute and again in the 90th minute. Kane is coming off of an injury-riddled 17 goal season last year but if he stays healthy this season could again be among the Premier League’s top scorers.
The Premier League match between Manchester City and Tottenham will be broadcast on NBC.

Manchester City and Tottenham played four games against each other last season, with the Citizens winning three times. However, it was the one loss that knocked City out of the Champions League. Tottenham have not beaten City in a Premier League since Oct. 2, 2016.
