The SEC is looking to take the 2019 college football season by storm. Here is a look at record predictions, impact players, and everything else you need to get ready for another great season of SEC football.

The SEC had five teams finish in the top 12 of the final AP Top 25 ranking of 2018. For the fourth year in a row, it sent a representative to the College Football Playoff National Championship game. 10 of the 14 teams in the conference finished with winning seasons, and only Arkansas had less than five wins in 2018.

Last season was everything we could have asked for. It featured the dominant performance of a 14-1 Alabama team, whose name is synonymous with the conference. In a parallel storyline, Georgia continued their rise in the SEC East; and continued building themselves in an unofficial rivalry with the Crimson Tide. For the second season in a row, we got an epic SEC championship game battle.

We also saw the incredible run of the Kentucky Wildcats; who recorded their first 10 win season since 1977. A swell of momentum grew for rising contenders LSU, Florida, and Texas A&M; who all recorded at least nine wins. 12 teams were bowl eligible and six brought home victories.

2019 should be even better. Alabama (No.2) and Georgia (No.3) are both being recognized as national championship contenders in the first 2019 preseason coaches poll. LSU (No.6) and Florida (No.8) are also featured; giving the SEC four top-10 schools. No other conference has more than two teams ranked in the top 10. Auburn (No.16) is the fifth SEC school ranked in the initial preseason college poll.

Now, let’s dive into a full preview of record predictions, players to watch, and everything else you need to get ready for the 2019 SEC college football season.
