The 1980s are calling and He-Man is hotter than ever, and worlds are about to collide in Tim Seeley’s new miniseries He-Man and the Masters of the Multiverse.

With She-Ra and the Princesses of Power one of the hottest shows at Netflix, and news that Kevin Smith is about to bring an anime version of the iconic 1980s cartoon to life at the streaming site, He-Man is more powerful than ever. DC Comics is bringing Tim Seeley back for a new adventure in Eternia with He-Man and the Masters of the Multiverse, a six-part limited miniseries coming in November.

Seeley is no stranger to He-Man. In 2018 Seeley’s Injustice vs He-Man and the Masters of the Universe brought together two of pop culture’s most beloved set of characters, DC Comics’ superheroes and the Masters of the Universe, in an adventure that shook Eternia to its core. Injustice featured Batman and He-Man working side-by-side to defeat evil Injustice Superman to the delight of 1980s kids everywhere.

Now, in He-Man and the Masters of the Multiverse, there’s a crisis in Eternia as the multiverse is attacked by villainous Anti-Eternia. As different versions of Eternia fall to the monster, the surviving versions of He-Man must come together to fight him. They need Prince Keldor, the young version of Skeletor, to achieve victory. Can Keldor be trusted? Can the army of He-Mans defeat Anti-Eternia? Readers have to wait until November to find out.

This isn’t the first venture between DC Comics and Mattel, and it surely won’t be the last as He-Man remains a very popular property. “The Masters of the Universe franchise continues with the all-new comic book series, He-Man and the Masters of the Multiverse,” said Rob David, VP of Mattel said in the press release. “With multiple He-Mans working together from different dimensions to save the multiverse, this series created in partnership with the expert writers and illustrators from DC Comics will be sure to delight new and old fans alike, while adding an entirely new dimension to the Power of Grayskull.”

It’s a wonderful time for ’80s kids to be alive with Stranger Things taking ’80s kids back to their childhoods, American Horror Story’s ninth season is set in 1984, and even Wonder Women’s sequel due next year takes place in 1984. The 80s have never been hotter, and with a new live-action He-Man movie coming in addition to the animated series coming to Netflix, it’s the perfect time to add a new He-Man limited series for comic book readers.

He-Man and the Masters of the Multiverse #1 debuts in November 2019.
